Our Hope For You

While photographing weddings for the last 10 years, we’ve heard the phrase “fastest day of your life” said many different ways. I didn’t fully understand it until Maddie and I got married. The whole day was a blur—from getting ready with all my closest friends, sealing the deal underneath a giant willow tree, to partying the night away. It truly was the best, fastest day of our lives.

Because we’re wedding photographers, we knew going in that we wanted to be able to stay fully present the whole day. We hardly stuck to a timeline in order to let all the moments unfold as they happen.

It was the best decision we’ve ever made. When we received our photos from our incredible photographer, we could play the whole day inside our head as if it was playing out in real time.

We photograph all our weddings with a mix of film and digital. Some of which can date back to the mid 1900s! Photographing weddings with various cameras gives your wedding day a completely unique look to it. Plus, who doesn’t love film photos?

Do you travel?

Yes! I call Nashville home, but I’m willing to go anywhere. The furthest I’ve gone to shoot a wedding is actually Australia!

What's your booking process?

Once you’re ready to book, I send over a proposal that includes the package details, contract, and invoice that includes a 30% deposit to lock in your date. It’s all on the same platform, so it makes it super simple!

How do you deliver your photos and how many do you include?

They’ll all be sent over via an online gallery that you’ll have access to and will be able to send to family and friends, along with a discount code to shop for professional grade prints on the gallery’s online print shop! As far as photo count goes, for weddings I typically end up with 700-1200 total edits, and engagements are around 80-150 total edits!

How soon should we book you?

Totally up to you! Our saturday’s in the spring + fall typically fill up really quick, so if you’re worried we might not be available, I’d reach out sooner rather than later! We definitely recommend booking a photographer ASAP when planning a wedding!

How long of a turnaround do you have?

Photo turnarounds range from 5-8 weeks, and video ranges from 8-10 weeks. Although, if it’s not my busy season — I typically have a faster turnaround!

Do you pose your couples?

Yes and no! As our photos are mostly a mix of documentary style and portraiture, where the posing involves a lot of movement — there’s a time and a place for the “look here and smile” photos and we definitely get a mix of those as well. I like to call them the fridge photos, they always make the grandmas happy!

For video we do mostly all directive posing that involves movement!

Do you shoot with both you and Maddie?

Maddie and I are in the middle of slowly transitioning her to working with me a lot more! So she may not always be there to help out with the day of and that’s something we’ll make sure to let you know well before the day of the wedding. She has her own job as a therapist who helps and works with kids with disabilities — and she loves it!

Our friend offered to shoot our wedding for way cheaper than you, why should we choose to hire a professional?

We believe in what we do and we have the stories and experience to back it up! We turned out love for photography and videography into our careers and we absolutely love it and have spends years and years fine tuning our craft to give you not only the best photos, but the best experience on your wedding day as well.

Not everyone can tell good photos from great photos — but everyone can tell a good experience from a great experience! And we take pride in also offering a great experience when it comes to being your wedding vendor.

What do you think of second shooters?

I personally love second shooters! I’m perfectly comfortable shooting weddings solo, but second shooters can help the flow of the day, especially pre ceremony. As well as capturing different angles from all the “one time” shots like: First kiss, walk down and back out of the aisle, etc.! Some wedding packages come with a second shooter in them already, but if they don’t — the price to add one is $500!

Anything else you'd like us to know?

We believe in having a connection with the couples for the weddings we take on. Which means we don’t take every wedding that comes our way. There’s the perfect wedding photographer out there for every couple and their wedding. And we only want what’s best for you! If we’re not a good match, I’d love to send over some recommendations for some other photographers who I think you would love and who would absolutely crush it!
